Olaf H. Tegner Endowed Scholarship

Description of Scholarship: The late Mr. and Mrs. Jack R. Blackwell established the Olaf H. Tegner Endowed Scholarship in the spring of 1997. This scholarship was created in honor of Olaf H. Tegner, in recognition of his nearly six decades of loyalty to Pepperdine as a student, professor, dean, administrator, and life-long ambassador. The scholarship is awarded to incoming students in the following Education programs only: Master of Arts in Teaching with Preliminary Teaching Credential (MAT), Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy (ELAP), Doctor of Education in Learning Technologies (EDLT), Doctor of Educational Leadership (EDOL), and Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) programs provided that the candidates are current teachers or individuals who aspire to be in the teaching profession. The award is based on academic excellence.
